Matta Napkin Book & Website
John Matta is a Comedian, Writer and he writes hilarious comic … on napkins. :) "Matta Napkin A Daily Comic … On a Napkin … in a book" is 80 pages of John's original cartoons. I designed the book around a diner theme. Accompanying the book launch I also designed a website for both John's comics and the book launch.
A New Reality Book
CPMC Van Ness Gala Invite
Several months ago we worked with the brilliant team at Britelite Immersive and CD Jennifer Beatty. One of the challenges we faced was redesigning the invitation suite for CPMC Van Ness Opening Gala in San Francisco. The print file was reimagined using the deco aesthetic of the icon library and UI that we were collaborating on to build the experiences at the Gala. The Invitation suite Includes RSVP Cards, A 6 panel die cut invitation, envelopes and an 8panel pocket guide for the event itself. The finish of the die cut panel on the the invitation itself is a spot gloss over a matte black stock with interior printing in a gold spot ink. Envelopes also echoed the subtle spot gloss and gold ink. I couldn't be more pleased with the final product and absolutely love the team at Britelite they are brilliant artist and technicians!
Copy of Letterpress Wedding Invite
Erin is an is an incredible photographer. Like me she's a luddite, shoots film and loves vintage. Erin had a distinctly post 1960's aesthetic she was envisioning. She provided me with a pencil sketch to inspire the process. I built a vector based on her sketch, and then color separation and finally typset the invite itself. Then it was letterpressed by Mercurio Brothers in the North Bay. I absolutely love this piece, it captures Erin's sensibilities perfectly.
